Lip augmentation increases the size of the lip for patients whose lips have lost volume with age, or who are unhappy with the natural appearance of their lips.

Larger, fuller lips can be achieved through injectable fillers, autologous fat grafts, or surgical procedures like a lip lift or V-Y advancement. Dermal fillers such as Restylane® and Juvederm® Ultra are administered in-office with minimal downtime. Fat grafting and surgical lifts may require twilight sedation. Recovery varies by patient, with swelling and bruising lasting up to 2–3 weeks, though many feel comfortable returning to normal routines after about a week. With realistic expectations and good overall health, most patients are highly satisfied with their results.
