When possible, we love to see our out-of-town patients in person for the initial consultation. If you are interested in visiting Delaware and meeting with one of our board-certified plastic surgeons in person for your initial consultation, contact us via our website or call Premier Cosmetic Surgery at (302) 998-8007 to schedule an appointment. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule.
If you are unable to travel to Delaware for your initial consultation, as is often the case with our out-of-town patients, we are happy to arrange a virtual consultation. Depending on your surgical goals, your virtual consultation may be conducted via email, phone, or Telehealth.
Please complete the Patient Questionnaire and submit your photographs to pcs@premierdermde.com. Please refer to the Guidelines for Plastic Surgery Patient Photographs for instructions on taking the required pictures.
After we receive your completed questionnaire and photographs, our surgeons will carefully review your information and determine whether you are an appropriate surgical candidate. One of our patient care coordinators will contact you to review the surgeon’s notes. If you are a surgical candidate, they will arrange the type of consultation that best fits your needs and is mutually convenient for both you and your surgeon. During your consultation, your surgeon will carefully listen to your concerns and goals and help you develop a personalized treatment plan based on your anatomy and lifestyle. You’ll discuss what you can expect from surgery and the recovery process. Don’t worry, you will have the opportunity to ask questions.
After your consultation, one of our patient care coordinators will send you a price quote for the options discussed and review scheduling, pre-testing, and payment and financing options.
Please note that a $200 fee applies to virtual consultations and will be applied to your procedure if you decide to proceed.
Once you have determined that you wish to proceed with the chosen procedure, a Patient Care coordinator will contact you to discuss available surgical dates. A 10% deposit is required to secure your dates, as availability is usually limited. Full payment is due prior to your surgical date.
Once the surgery date has been scheduled, we will ensure you are cleared for surgery. Anesthesia and/or your surgeon may require some medical testing and clearance. Specific instructions for pre-operative and post-operative care will be sent as requested by your surgeon. A prescription for bloodwork and/or EKG can be sent to the patient or facility of your choice, if required by anesthesia. Testing should be completed 30 days prior to surgery. Based on your health status and the nature of the procedure, additional testing or clearance from your primary care doctor may be necessary.
We advise our patients to arrange for someone to accompany them and care for them following the procedure. A caretaker can drive the patient to and from the clinic and assist with personal care and hygiene, including meal preparation, shopping, and running important errands such as prescription pickup. They can also assist with walking and dressing and provide the support and companionship patients need during recovery.
Photo General Guidelines:
Please have someone take your preoperative photos for you. Do not wear clothing or accessories (including glasses, jewelry, or a bra or underwear) over the surgical area of your body. We know it can be uncomfortable to take and send nude photographs online; however, you can rest assured that your privacy is our first priority. Secure long hair in a ponytail or bun so it is not seen in the photographs. Try to take consultation photos against an uncluttered, solid, and medium to dark background.
For lateral and oblique views, move your feet and turn your entire body; do not simply rotate the area of the body in question. In general, please submit at least five photos, including a front view, a right lateral view, a right oblique view, a left lateral view, and a left oblique view. When surgery is being performed on the trunk or legs (i.e., a Brazilian butt lift, mommy makeover, tummy tuck, liposuction of the legs, leg lift, etc), please also submit a posterior, or back, view.
